● Turkey Trot
Thanksgiving Day - November 27

An awesome Austin tradition!  Join with a gaggle of other Austinites in this 5 mile run.  Nothing quite makes Thanksgiving dinner taste better than a nice run in the morning.

Whether you are a marathoner, or a mom with young children, this race is perfect for everyone.  Walk or run, it is always fun!  And that late start time (as compared a traditional start of 7am) makes this race perfect for first timers!

● Elf: The Musical at the Long Center
November 28 - 30

What a great way to kick off the holiday season -- by watching Elf: the Musical at the Long Center

ELF is the hilarious tale of Buddy, a young orphan child who mistakenly crawls into Santa’s bag of gifts and is transported back to the North Pole. Unaware that he is actually human, Buddy’s enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth.

● Chuys  Christmas Parade
November 29 11am

Another awesome Austin tradition!  The Chuy's Children Giving to Children has always been a favorite in our family!  It is a great way to start off the Christmas season with your children thinking about giving a gift, instead of getting a gift.  It really puts the whole season in perspective.  The balloons and floats are really fun, but the highlight for my kids is being able to drop a gift onto the floats, knowing they will benefit a child in need!
